Stiles Goes Green for Earth Week
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – To celebrate Earth Week, Stiles Corp. is sponsoring South Florida’s quest to break the Guinness Book of World Records mark for longest parade of alternative-fuel vehicles. On April 22, Stiles Corporation’s Smart Car will lead the “Clean Vehicle Parade Presented by Stiles,” an Earth Day event in downtown Miami that begins at 7 pm at Bicentennial Park.
Miami Goin' Green is organizing this historic event, featuring vehicles powered by electric batteries, solar energy, bio-diesel fuel or compressed natural gas (CNG). The current Guinness World Record was set on August 31, 2008 in Melk, Austria, with 138 alternative-fuel vehicles.
The parade is one of three prime Earth Week activities reflecting Stiles’ ongoing commitment to Go Green in each commercial real estate building it owns or manages.
On Thursday, April 23, Stiles will present a “Get Ready for Arbor Day Tree Giveaway,” at 800 Brickell Ave. in Miami from 9 to 11 a.m. Southern Blossoms and 800 Brickell are donating trees for the event, which is just in time for planting on Arbor Day, April 24.
Stiles’ Earth Day Tree Giveaway this morning in Downtown Fort Lauderdale drew hundreds of people, picking up the potted trees that were donated by Dixie Landscape. Stiles’ Smart Car was on display, along with hybrid vehicles provided by Rick Case Automotive.
